The Apex™ Keratoconus Lens is an aspheric thin lens design. This proprietary degin is based upon the belief that those patients who are successful with GP lenses must be fitted with a lens that minimizes apical interaction, avoids impingement of the peripheral cornea, specifically in the flatter superior quadrant, and places the optical zone over the pupil. In order to meet this challenge, the posterior surface has a spherical optical zone radius small enough to allow tear exchange yet large enough to provide good vision without excessive flare. In addition, the posterior lens surface has enough eccentricity to adequately align with the flattening seen in the peripheral keratoconic cornea.

Apex is indicated for the early, moderate and advanced keratoconus patient. With a thin lens profile, this lens allows quick and easy adaptation to lens wear.
